These beautifully hand-crafted beech trays support the important concept of part-whole relationships. Using the ‘Cherry Model’ to show how a whole can be split into two parts, each part being smaller than the whole. Designed to place real objects into the sections, without them rolling away, so you can choose items from nature such as conkers or toys from home for example marbles.
Great for developing the essential language of whole and part, which subsequently supports partitioning. Developing the language of part-part-whole through questioning, builds a solid understanding of the relationship between addition and subtraction.
