Lets cut up our fruit together!

A great way to learn all about fractions, the healthy way. This solid wooden board comes with a knife for cutting the fruit into fractions, along with slices of avocado, apple, kiwi, lemon, orange and watermelon.

Great for developing and understanding fractions along with numerical skills. By ‘slicing’ the fruit also encouraged are fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and real life skills.

Why not start by working out the different fraction pieces, then as a real understanding occurs your little one can move up to adding the different fractions together. How many sixths make a third? How many quarters make a half?

This set includes a solid wooden board and a wooden knife. The avocado slice is whole, the red apple is in halves, the kiwi is cut into thirds, the lemon in quarters, the orange in fifths and the watermelon into sixths.

A fun activity

A fun activity to promote the early understanding of fractions. Bright, attractive and well made . I thought that maybe marking the pieces on the back with the numerical fraction would be a helpful addition although I can do this myself. A recommended toy.
